At Swale House we have an office to manage the care we deliver to people’s homes across Peterborough/Cambridgeshire & neighbouring areas.

Swale House also offers care & accommodation to people who may need short term solution of supported living. This maybe for:

Respite ……  a short get away from home for you or to rest your Family Carer

Hospital Discharge Plan ……while suitable home care support is being sourced for you to return home

Short Rehabilitation ….. to regain your confidence following a hospital discharge while you remain near support to regain your skills, such as mobility skills etc.

Supported Living Service at Swale House

This is accommodation and support for adults who may want to live and share a house with others where they also benefit from inhouse care and support.

The accommodation in Swale House consists of 2 large ground floor rooms with access to a wet room and 3 large bedrooms on the first floor each with a hand basin and two bathrooms to share. The accommodation in Swale House is offered for a short period of time and it is aimed at:

  • a person who may be discharged from hospital and wants to be in temporary supported accommodation while they gain their confidence and improve their mobility before return to their own home when they feel safe or when the home is ready.
  • A person who needs to give their main carer a break and requires a “Home from Home” place where they will meet one or two people to engage with, enjoy the company of staff who will also be able to meet their specialist care needs
  • A person who may have completed or continuing with rehabilitation and they are waiting for a permanent solution to their long-term care needs or location
  • A person from the “Discharge to assess Pathway” of a hospital discharge plan; where there is a need to discharge a person who still requires social care assessment or care package that will enable them to go home safely.


  • Options include:

    Staff are available to help residents in an emergency.

    For some residents staff also provide personal care but probably less than in a care home.

    Nursing care and advanced dementia care is provided in some of our houses.
