Live-in care works best for those who are able to sleep well at night, or who may need support once or twice during the night and are able to call for help when needed. This is important because your live-in carer will need a good night’s rest to continue delivering the highest standard of care throughout the day. To accommodate this, your carer will need their own room with a comfortable place to sleep.

The same carer typically remains with you for a fortnight at a time before being relieved by another familiar carer ensuring continuity and consistency in the support you receive.
